This policy explains how Grant Finder ("we", "us") handles personal information when you visit our website or submit a grant application. We collect only what we need and never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you give us in the application:
- identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number and location;
- background details — applicant type, employment status and experience;
- project details — the project or business, how you would use a grant, the amount requested and timeline;
- any supporting documents you choose to upload;
- your consent choices and the time you gave them.
Information you give us when you contact us: your name, email, topic, reference number and message.
Information collected automatically: to prevent spam and duplicate applications we record a one-way hashed version of your IP address and your browser type with each application. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. If you allow it, our advertising partner may use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
- to review your application and assess eligibility for grant programs;
- to contact you if you qualify or are selected, and to request more information;
- to respond to your questions;
- to prevent fraud, spam and duplicate applications;
- if you opt in, to tell you about future grant opportunities that match your profile.
Our legal bases are your consent, the steps you ask us to take before entering a grant agreement, and our legitimate interest in running a fair and secure service.
Sharing
If your application is shortlisted for a program, relevant details may be shared with that program's funding partner for the sole purpose of assessing and awarding the grant. We also use trusted service providers for hosting, storage and email, who process data on our instructions. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share application data with advertisers.
Retention
We keep applications for up to 24 months after the end of the funding cycle so we can consider you for related programs and keep records of awards, then delete or anonymize them. Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and applications and documents are stored with access limited to authorized reviewers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email privacy@grantfinder.app and include your reference number if you have one. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
